Hygiene Care
At Sunshine Dental, we want you to realize that your hygiene visits (check-up and cleaning) are as important as your other dental treatment visits.

Your continuing-care visit includes many services that are extremely important for your long-term oral health. We do not take these services for granted and we hope that you won't either.

Your Initial Visit includes:

• Health history update
• Blood Pressure Screening
• Soft Tissue / Oral Cancer screening
• Examination for signs of disease or decay
• Digital x-rays (80% less radiation required!)
• Hygiene assisted evaluation of periodontal (gum) health

After we have the diagnostic materials we need, the hygienist will determine if you need a ‘healthy’ cleaning or if you need to be scheduled for a longer, more involved procedure.

Remember:
The six-month interval is not ideal for all patients. Dr. Alto, Dr. Manouchehri and the hygienists will recommend the best recall interval for your dental needs.

It is important to go to your dentist at least twice a year to have your teeth professionally cleaned and examined. If you floss, you can smile knowing that you are adding years to your life.
